Year 2011
2011 Family Christmas Letter (Parody)
Song: The Beatles Ob La Di Ob La Da:
***We have included a “translation” guide below*** :)
(Music...clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap)
5 A.M. and Mark is up to greet the day,
Across the pond, the sun is not quite up,
Off to work, but 1st Steph’s off to Seminary,
Right knackered coming hooome just in time for sup.
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, All right!!!
La la la, 2011's gone.
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, Ow bin yer?!
Jolly Good, 2012...moving on.
Alicia counts each Fenton child on the head,
And into the people mover takes a seat,
School and work and home and play fills up the day
All tucked in beds at night, a sigh of relief so sweet.
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, All right!!!
La la la, 2011's gone.
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, Ow bin yer?!
Jolly Good, 2012...moving on.
In less than two years, Stephanie’ll leave our home sweet home,
A junior in college (high school), her marks jolly brilliant,
Talent, kindness...brightly shone.
Mary finds herself on yearbook staff this year,
Gets brilliant marks on her studies, too.
Cami’s smashing marks gave invitation for
Another school, what to do, what to do?
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, All right!!!
La la la, 2011's gone.
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, Ow bin yer?!
Jolly Good, 2012...moving on.
And Nate is three, a natty helper he’s become,
No more nappies for him, to the loo it’s true,
We’re proud of our little son.
Happy ever after in the boro...green,
Our seasons greetings wish to each of you,
A happy ever after of your very own...
And all our love and all the happiness true!!
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, All right!!!
La la la, 2011's gone.
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, Ow bin yer?!
Jolly Good, 2012...moving on.
And if you’re out our way...come Ob-la-di-bla-da (Cheers!!)
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! And Bob’s your uncle!
