Happy New Year!!! and Happy "Ballot Bowl"

Happy 2008! We achieved our goal of sleeping in until after 9am this morning. We rang in the new year with tons of great food, friends, and family. Played a close game of Settlers and RA. There was even snow falling! When we began our celebrations it was raining and the new year rang in with the gently falling snow. So white and beautiful...so clean and new...just like the new year!

The newly fallen snow is also a great backdrop for all the BOWLS going on. Today, we've been following the "Ballot Bowl" on CNN online and at the gym (day 1 of New Year's resolutions). We have been very interested in the presidential primaries this year. They have been asking some very good questions of each of the Republican and Democratic candidates. It has been very interesting to see the different personalities, strategies, political backgrounds, and philosophies of each. It's "nail-bitin'" stuff! :-)

For Family Home Evening last night (before the new year's festivities) we talked about our family goals. The girls had some great ideas on how we can work on the following areas: spiritual, health, talents, social, and family. I think we are in for a fabulous year as we strive to become a kinder, artistic, healthier, memorizing more scriptures, harmonious, soccer player.

GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
