Seeing that my Sunday afternoon nap has left me alert and spry, I figured I'd take a few moments (hours) to ramble. We watched the CBS special tonight, "In God's Name". French filmmakers Jules and Gedeon Naudet explored 12 major world religions (based on what appeared to be membership population) regarding various topics post 9-11. It was evident that the filmmakers desired to highlight the similarities in purpose and efforts of each religion as they sought to relieve the suffering and afflictions that plague humanity: hunger, terrorism, intolerance, war, etc. One of the concluding threads focused on the global challenge of unifying diversity amidst conflicting interests and ambitions...oh one of my favorite ideals to frequent. Unity. Ironically, the subjectivity of unity can be inflicted with the conflict it, by definition, so boldly contradicts. Without digressing, my plea is simply this: What can I do to help unify, to become one, despite the challenges posed by diversity? The inferred? The implied? The denied? The misinterpreted? The malicious? The callous?
Alright...eyes are getting droopy...thoughts a little loopy. LOL!!
