To PDA or not to PDA

For Christmas this year, I got a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant)
And some PDA (Public Display of Affection)
The second, of course, being the more significant PDA!

After the initial surprise of opening the 1st PDA, an overwhelming feeling began to swell within. As I began to load and download and incorporate and review the "tutorial" CD for the 20th time, those feelings were 100%, undeniably confirmed: where was I going to find the time to adjust my old scheduling techniques to a new system. Is it really true, you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Have I really reached that plateau? Yes, the potential for this sweet little "personal assistant" could simplify, not complicate our lives (I say OUR because I am the CEO in charge of scheduling.) BUT and the BUT is getting bigger, can I mentally psyche myself into another system?

BUT what if I lose the PDA?
BUT what if it doesn't work?
BUT what if I don't check it often enough?
BUT what if aliens take over our electronic devices and use them as mind controlling agents?
You know I am glad that this personal organization crisis is happening during the winter break. I can't even imagine if this "opportunity" was presented during the full swing of our lives.
And I wonder where my girls get the drama? LOL! It's genetic - "JUST DEAL WITH IT." (Great quote by "Tayor" in the ABC reality series "Kid Nation.") I know, I vowed I wasn't going to watch the exploitation of children for the entertainment of the masses. It really wasn't that extreme and had some endearing moments. It's the sociological blood running through my veins.
Back to breathing...
My mother-in-law said the "pulling-out-of-hair" moments would be worth it.
AND the gift was given to me by the most amazing man in my life and on the planet.
AND it could really simplify things.
AND I can download my scriptures.
AND I won't have to reenter everyone's birthday or other reoccurring events.
AND it has WiFi.
AND it is in COLOR.
Well, it looks like the ANDs outweigh the BUTs.
So...it looks like we have a PERSONAL ASSISTANT.
(I just wish it did laundry!!!)

I switched to digital about 9 months ago and had all the same anxiety. (I had been a Franklin Day Planner junkie since high school.) And I LOVE IT!!! I will never go back to pencil and paper!
